Sister-in-law accused of stealing from Dane Cook
WOBURN, Mass. -- Dane Cook's sister-in-law has been charged with aiding her husband in the theft of millions of dollars from the comedian.
The Massachusetts attorney general's office said Erika McCauley, 37, of Wilmington would be arraigned Thursday on charges of larceny by scheme and receiving and concealing stolen property.
The attorney general's office did not know who was representing McCauley in court.
Cook's half brother and McCauley's husband, Darryl McCauley, pleaded not guilty in March to eight counts of larceny over $250, forgery and larceny by continuous scheme.
Prosecutors said Darryl McCauley stole the money while he was business manager for Cook's company, Great Dane Enterprises. His attorney has said he denies taking money without his brother's consent.
