Police seek frantic 'U30' bank robber

BOSTON -- FBI agents in Boston have launched a manhunt for a frantic bank robber they've dubbed the 'U30 Bandit' because he's in and out of the banks in under 30 seconds.

Officials say the man sprints for the teller's window and points a pistol at the teller's face demanding money.

Three times, he put what appears to be a bomb on the counter, though the devices he's left have been fake.

Then, he sprints out with the money, apparently to a waiting car.

FBI agent Randy Jarvis said the robber is in a rush, but he's very disciplined.

Since March, the robber has hit banks in Wellesley, Needham, Newton, Dedham and Walpole. He covers his face, so all authorities know about his appearance is that he's white and about 5-foot-10.
