Police raid apartment for drugs, find 2 children alone
BOSTON -- Two children were taken from an apartment in Dorchester after police said they found them home alone.
Officers were executing a search warrant at 5 Victory Road looking for drugs, but instead found a 12-year-old and a nine-month-old alone in the apartment.
Police said they also found marijuana inside the home.
Both children were transported to the hospital for evaluation. Police are still looking for the parents.
Police contacted the children's grandmother, but the Department of Social Services is investigating and will make the final decision as to where the children will go.
