1 dead in Albany, NH collision
ALBANY, N.H. -- New Hampshire State Police say a passenger has died and three others in the car were hurt in a collision near the Albany Town Hall, on Route 16.
Police say the accident happened at 5:40 p.m. Sunday when a Mazda Hatchback traveling south on Route 16 apparently drifted into the path of a northbound Jeep, struck the driver's mirror, then continued on to drift into the path of a northbound Chevrolet Trailblazer.
The four people inside the Mazda were taken to Memorial Hospital in North Conway, where one died. A passenger was transferred to Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital with critical injuries, but is stable. The driver and another passenger suffered minor injuries.
The two occupants of the Chevrolet suffered minor injuries; the two occupants of the Jeep weren't hurt.
