Bowl of cereal gets Needham driver in trouble
NEEDHAM, Mass. -- A Massachusetts man may wish he had breakfast in bed instead of in his car.
Police in Needham said Francis Gallagher who was stopped for erratic driving on Central Avenue last week was eating a bowl of cereal and milk while he drove. He told officers he was hungry.
When Gallagher was pulled over by police, he did not have a current driver's license.
Gallagher told 7NEWS that he was not eating cereal when he was pulled over, and while he did pass a stopped driver last Thursday, he did not feel as though he was driving erratically. He did admit that his license was expired.
Gallagher was cited for unlicensed operation, failure to stay in lanes and operating to endanger.
He has since renewed his license.
