BRAINTREE, Mass. -- Authorities have identified the man and woman who died in an apparent murder-suicide at a Braintree motel.
The Norfolk District Attorney's office says preliminary autopsy reports show that 42-year-old Linda Auger was fatally stabbed in a room she was sharing with her boyfriend, 52-year-old Luis Garcia.
Authorities say Garcia was found hanged by a motel worker who entered the room late Wednesday morning.
District Attorney William Keating said Auger was a mother of four who had recently returned to Massachusetts from Maine.
Keating said it was the sixth alleged homicide involving domestic violence in Norfolk County in the past five weeks.
