NH State Police: Driver causes crash on I-93
HOLDERNESS, N.H. -- New Hampshire state police say a man has been arrested on a drunken-driving charge after causing a car crash by driving the wrong way on Interstate 93 in Holderness.
Police say 46-year-old Victor Castillo-Cortes of Lancaster was traveling north in the southbound lane of I-93 on Tuesday night. They say 44-year-old Michelle Supry of Penacook was driving in the southbound lane when Castillo-Cortes' car suddenly appeared in her lane. She swerved and lost control of her car, which rolled several times.
Police say fire and rescue units had to remove Supry from her car. She was hospitalized with serious injuries.
Police say Castillo-Cortes was stopped north of the crash scene by the Coos County Sheriff's Department and brought to the Grafton County Jail. He was being arraigned Wednesday.
