New Hampshire Remembers Reagan

Friends and supporters of Ronald Reagan will tell old political war stories to honor the late President at a remembrance on the NH Statehouse steps this evening. Featured speakers include Gerald Carmen of Manchester, one of Reagan's 1980 campaign managers and former U.S. Representative Charles Douglas. Reagan's win in the presidential primary that year propelled him to the Republican nomination and the White House. Gov Craig Benson will serve as master of ceremonies. Benson issued a proclamation Wednesday calling Reagan a "true American hero" and declared today a day of prayer and mourning in NH.

Boston Tribute to Reagan

Menino and the City of Boston will host a memorial service to President Ronald Reagan to coincide with a nation day of mourning for the 40th president of the US. Menino and William Fowler, of the Mass Historical Society, will pay tribute, clergy will offer a benedication. Following the memorial service, mourners will be able to watch the service on televisions.

Share Your Thoughts With The Reagan Family

The John F. Kennedy Library and Museum in Boston invites the public to sign a condolence book to share their thoughts and honor the life and legacy of President Ronald W. Reagan. The condolence book will be sent to Mrs. Reagan and the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California. The condolence book will be available in the lobby at the Kennedy Library from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. through Sunday, June 13.

The Library will set up a Monitor in the Theater Lobby for patrons to watch the service, beginning at 10:30 a.m.

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California, and the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in Boston, Massachusetts, are part of the nationwide network of presidential libraries administered by the National Archives and Records Administration.

NYSE Closed to Observe National Day of Mourning for President Reagan

President Reagan became the first sitting U.S. president to visit the NYSE on March 28, 1985, when he addresses the trading floor and Exchange community about his economic plan. He also visited the Exchange on May 13, 1992 with former Soviet Union President Mikhail Gorbachev as part of the NYSE's bicentennial commemeration.

Romney Declares Friday State Holiday In Reagan's Honor

Governor Romney is declaring Friday a state holiday in honor of Ronald Reagan. Romney says it's fitting to set aside a day for the former president, who the governor says, "inspired the nation with his optimism, patriotism and hope for America." Executive branch departments and agencies will be closed in what Romney declared as a "day of honor" for Reagan, who died Saturday at the age of 93. Federal offices and the stock markets will also be closed. However, the legislative branch of state government will be open, as will state courts. Romney made the declaration from California, where he's attending a biotechnology conference in hopes of wooing companies to Massachusetts.

Federal Government Closed 

The U.S. Stock Markets and federal government will be closed in honor of the national day of mourning for former President Reagan.

No Regular Mail Delivery Or Retail Service

There will be no regular mail delivery or retail service at postal facilities as the Postal Service honors the memory of former President Ronald Reagan by observing a National Day of Mourning.
