Celtics sign Rajon Rondo to contract extension
BOSTON -- The Celtics have reached an agreement in principle on a contract extension with point guard Rajon Rondo.
According to Yahoo! Sports, the deal is for five years and $55 million.
Rondo was prepared to play out this season and become a restricted free agent in 2010.
The guard is averaging 6.5 points, 11.8 assists, and 5.0 rebounds in four games this season.
