Geralyn Lucas, Author of
Lifetime TV's “Why I Wore Lipstick to My Mastectomy”.
Geralyn Lucas is a dynamic and inspirational woman. Diagnosed with
breast cancer at the age of 27, she turned her personal victory over cancer
into the book and Lifetime original movie, Why I Wore Lipstick to My Mastectomy
in which she details her internal struggle with womanhood after her mastectomy,
and the soul searching she had to do to feel whole again.
Ms. Lucas is now sharing with
women around the country, the courageous and uplifting attitude with which she
approached her own battle with this disease. Much of her spare time away from
her job as Director of Public Affairs at Lifetime Television is devoted to
encouraging women to have regular mammograms, and to know that they are not
alone if they are fighting breast cancer.
