Bill Dwyer, The Vineyard
"It was an outstanding vintage year throughout California. So we've actually expanded our California wine section."
At any one time the store carries more than 500 types of wine and they'll be happy to help you pick a new favorite.
Bill Dwyer, The Vineyard
"I taste over a hundred wines in a week and it's just through that experience that I can help other people."
And for those, who'd like some cheese with their wine, the vineyard also features a full service deli.
Bill Dwyer, The Vineyard
"They can come in and pick up some beautiful gourmet meals here and we can then help them match wines to those meals."
Cheers to our second-place spot, The Wine List" in Hyannis. A year and half ago this sister act quit their day jobs and started serving up full-bodied blends!
Tracey Anderson, The Wine List

They feature wines from all over the world and organize them by style rather than region or grape. And each blend has a bio…
Jackie Kantrowitz
"It explains where the wine is from, who makes it, what grapes, what the personality is and with every wine we do a food pair..."
Speaking of food, they have the specialty cheeses, crackers, breads and spreads. They also hold classes and tastings!
Tracey Anderson, The Wine List
"We can hold about 45 people, believe it or not, it gets crowded and we do them several times a month."
Say bonjourno to our first-place winner, The Wine Botegga in Boston's North End. This quaint little shop specializes in Italian wines that are sure to have you saying "salute!"
Peter Nelson, The Wine Bottega
"Once they step foot inside the store, they know that it's different here."
But you don't have to be a connoisseur to choose. Here, the employees never whine about helping out customers...
Peter Nelson, The Wine Bottega
"We ask questions that set up parameters, set up rules and find a wine that matches as many of their requirements as possible."
Each bottle, they say, has a story. And they're prepared to tell the tales.
Peter Nelson, The Wine Bottega
"I know how it was made, and I know the story of the estate, the property, the family that may produce it."
