Huddle at Home: Pierre Woods

Number 58 hits hard on the football field, but at home Patriots Linebacker Pierre Woods has a soft touch.

The University of Michigan graduate found the love of his life, Doris, in college.

She was an athlete too.

Doris says, "I took pretty good to the hurdles, then my coach got me in to to the high jump, long jump and shot-put. I turned in to a heptathlete."

When Doris left college to serve her country, Pierre kept the romance alive. Well, sort of.

He says, "I called her, I didn't stalk he. There is a difference."

Doris says, "As time progressed, it made me think he called me more than my mom, my best friend."

These days the couple keep busy with son PJ and one very active daughter, Paris.

Doris says, "I would think she's a little boy. She jumps off couches, she's the biggest little tomboy in world."

Pierre says he loves playing for the Pats but says family always comes first.

"I don't take it for granted, I love football, enjoy football. But if I had to stop to take care of my family, I would. If I had to work three jobs I would do that."

Kirsten Watson asks, "Pierre what role does Doris play in your life?"

Pierre says, "She's the love of my life, she takes care of me."

Well, Mommy and Daddy got enough camera time, now Paris is ready to make her singing debut.

(Paris sings "twinkle, twinkle" into the microphone.)

Kirsten says, "Paris that was awesome. For Huddle at Home, I'm Kirsten Watson, 7 News.
