A new high-speed CT scanner is helping local doctors diagnose strokes more accurately. Doctors at Massachusetts General Hospital say: the scanner uses a dye that can show blood flow inside blood vessels. It can also show if the vessel is partially or completely blocked, and which areas of the brain are not getting enough blood. Doctors who use the scanner improved their accuracy of diagnosing a stroke by 100%.
