The Dish reports

You would expect to find great Italian food in the North End, but Frances Rivera takes us to one of Southie's best kept secrets: A restaurant that serves family style Sicilian cooking in tonight's Dish!

THE DISH: Mirisola's Pasta Bolognese

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 c mushrooms
1 tablespoon peas
6 oz. hamburger
Approximately 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 cup of sauce (20 oz)
Garlic to taste
Salt & pepper to taste

METHOD:

Cook hamburger meat in a skillet, when brown, add to olive oil in pan and add sauce. Let simmer for about 5 to 10 minutes or until meat browns a bit more. Then add the mushrooms and peas and let cook for about 2 minutes. Add in some garlic or garlic salt and then salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then add cooked penne pasta or linguine cooked al a dente and serve
